Lend-a-Hand 2012
As many of you know, we’ve recently kicked off our Lend-a-Hand 2012 campaign, with all proceeds going to The Teddy Bear Den. Our goal? To raise $100,000, and thanks to all of you, we’re nearly halfway there!
The Teddy Bear Den offers a program where moms can enroll with their children and earn points by completely healthy actions, like going to doctor’s appointments, stopping smoking and attending parenting classes. In return, they can “buy” items with their points, like cribs, bottles, diapers and clothing.
A little bit more about The Den and how you can donate:
Lend-a-Hand is operated by Argus Leader Media Foundation. The 2012 campaign has a goal of raising $100,000 for the Teddy Bear Den, which provides basic needs for children up to 15 months old. Because all administrative costs are covered, every tax-deductible donation goes to the charity. You may drop off contributions at 200 S. Minnesota Avenue, or send them to:

Every year, when people send in their donations, we often get a nice note along with it. I like to share them on the blog, because I think they’re neat. Here are the ones I’ve received so far:
